I'm a training provider, does that make me an RTO? Not necessarily, to check do a quick search on the NTIS website. The National Training Information Service provides a Search and Browse function that allows you to find specific training packages, qualifications, courses, units of competency and registered training organisations (RTOs) that are licensed to provide training in one or many states.

The Framework in the Australian Capital Territory

The Australian Flexible Learning Framework (Framework) provides the vocational education and training (VET) system with essential e-learning infrastructure and expertise needed to respond to the challenges of a modern economy and the training needs of Australian businesses and workers. Through the Framework, the ACT VET Community has access to:

> ACT E-learning Coordinator (part-time)
> ACT E-learning Innovations Coordinator (part-time)
> ACT Toolbox Champion (part-time).

2010 ACT E-learning Innovations funding

Registered training organisations (RTOs) are invited to apply for ACT E-learning Innovations funding and support to implement innovative e-learning solutions for businesses and students located in the ACT Community. The 2010 ACT E-learning Innovations Guidelines for Applicants provide information about how to apply for funding.

Applications must align with the ACT VET Priorities, for more information refer to the publication ACT Annual Vocational Education and Training (VET) Priorities 2010.

An second public information session to assist you in applying for funding will be held from 9.30am on Tuesday 16 February at CIT Southside Campus (registration details below in e-pd).

RTOs are encouraged to apply electronically using the online application. A Word version of the application form is currently available to use as a working document in preparation for completing the online application. 

Applications will close on Tuesday 2 March 2010.

All applicants are encouraged to contact the ACT E-learning Innovations Coordinator Kerry Manikis on (02) 6207 3267 to discuss their project idea.

2010 e-pd in the @CT

E-learning professional development (e-pd) to assist local RTOs in embedding e-learning in VET delivery for the ACT community.

Tuesday 16 February Toolbox workshop - Toolbox Resources Showcase* hosted by the Australian Flexible Learning Framework. This workshop will be followed by a brief infomation session of the 2010 ACT E-learning Innovations funding (until 10.45am)
Time > 8am - 9.30am for the Toolbox workshop, followed by a the funding information session until 10.45am
