| Small Business - e-learn and earn! | The aim of this project is to explore the challenges and opportunities faced by a small business/training provider partnership as it integrates and embeds e-learning into it's suite of small business training program offerings, and establishes a sustainable e-learning embedding model. The project uses an e-learning module about media releases (mapped to BSBPUB403A Develop public relations documents) as the vehicle, and the case study follows the journey of the partnership from concept stage to implementation of the e-learning module. It seeks to identify the critical success factors contributing to sustainability of the e-learning model for the partnership in delivering vocational education to small and micro business. | Business-Training Provider | Small business owners and managers |

| Levelling the playing field |
This project is focusing on enabling current staff and volunteers in the sports industry, specifically with Cricket ACT and AFL, to gain skills recognition for their experiences to help achieve formal qualifications. Identified skill gaps in their experiences will be delivered in a flexible and online module format, including work based projects to complete the qualifications. This project will improve the employability of the workers by recognising their current skill sets and providing pathways for knowledge and skill development. We are partnering with Cricket ACT and AFL, whose current workforce is made up of 40% staff and 60% volunteers. This project will be focusing on two competencies; manage the format and results of competition SRSOGP010A and coordinate the administration of teams or groups within a club or organisation STSSPA007A. | Business-Training Provider | Employees and volunteers |

Working with their partner, Bentleys Hair of Canberra, CHART will be accelerating its introduction of E-learning for the hairdressing
Certificate II and III. This will build on its Moodle learning management system to provide a secure feedback
to employers of their apprentices' progress. It will also update some learning objects from the 2002 hairdressing toolbox
(to remap to new 2006 package, restore broken links etc) and will incorporate some new material from other repository
objects to fill gaps in the old toolbox, particularly for employability skills units. Use of the e-learning capability will
enable flexible learning, speed up apprentices' progress and allow concentration on real hands-on hairdressing while attending
CHART. |

| WISE Fitness e-learning comes Alive | Though private RTOs in the fitness industry have engaged and embraced e-learning from a commercial aspect, few if any, have
integrated a contextualised e-learning / flexible delivery curriculum as part of an in-house structured traineeship program.
The focus of this project is to utilise existing specific fitness-related learning objects to embellish and contextualise
them to the needs of Alive Health and Fitness' trainees during their program. By integrating e-learning along with face-to-face
delivery and on-the-job practical training and assessment, the trainee will have better confidence, knowledge and skill thereby
becoming a successful personal trainer and assist Alive clients into achieving their health and fitness goals.

| LEAD Learning |
A significant proportion, perhaps a majority, of disability support workers enter the sector with a rich range of prior knowledge
and skills, but without accredited qualifications in the community services sector. Many of these prior skills are transferable
to the disability sector. Many are casual or part-time employees with a high proportion in the "mature age" bracket. This
project will deliver an e-learning format for recognition of prior skills and for assessing training needs for workers in
the disability sector and community sector. |

| Log-In Learning Support |
The Log-In Learning Support project will develop the online implementation of CIT's face-to-face Drop-In Learning Support program, providing individual learning support via live virtual classroom consultations with a teacher, 'live' video feedback, audio voice messaging, or e-mail. The program will also include online reference resources in a variety of formats: text, audio and video, and online learning skills tutorials. Through the program, learners will be supported in developing their learning, thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills to enable them to achieve the competencies in their training programs. These skills are also identified Employability Skills. Providing our Learning Support program flexibly, in a variety of modes online, as well as face-to-face, will ensure that Learning Support is accessible by all CIT students. It will specifically empower mature-age workers studying part-time and via Flexible Learning and learners disadvantaged because of location. | Empowering Learners | All learners at CIT, particularly learners studying in 'flexible learning' mode and mature age workers studying part-time |

| Events online: skills recognition for industry |
To meet a new target market's current learner demands, the Events online project aims to take mature, industry based learners
on a journey by first recognising their current skills and experiences via an online skills recognition tool, leading into
a personalised pathway of online study across units from both Certificate III and Diploma levels. |
