2009 E-learning Innovations projects - New South Wales

In 2009, $1,428,400 has been awarded to develop and manage 40 projects that will deliver innovative e-learning training solutions in New South Wales (NSW). The successful projects are tailored to NSW's vocational education and training (VET) priorities.

Waste/landfill in Eurobodalla

This project will explore the use of
off-the-shelf mini video cameras and compare them with point of view (POV) cameras as a means of assessing skills in the workplace, for learners completing a Certificate III in Asset Maintenance - Waste Management.

E-learning provides access to professional development for divers and dive supervisors in their workplace location. This project will design assessment tasks for units in the TAA to create relevant and engaging learning and assessment materials for dive supervisors and diver trainers. e-Evidence This project will pilot and evaluate the use of technology for collection of assessment evidence in the workplace for learners and RPL candidates in the primary and natural resource management industry. Tablet PCs will be used for on-the-spot collection of assessment evidence in digital format. Foot-e club A Virtual Club website has been created as a learning and assessment resource. With the guidance of a facilitator, learners will use this resource as a simulated working environment.
