In 2009, 15 projects have been awarded a total of $566,300 to deliver innovative e-learning solutions in Western Australia. The successful projects are tailored to Western Australian vocational education and training (VET) priorities.

This project will research the training needs of small businesses in the Goldfields-Esperance region. It will identify training delivery methods suitable for small businesses, and develop flexible and interactive learning programs to address their specific training needs. The Certificate IV in Small Business will be delivered through blended and wholly online programs. The project will include a mentoring component.

This project will use e-portfolios to assist with the RPL (recognition of prior learning) process, to overcome the problem
of distance facing Indigenous learners in remote WA. The project aims to deliver a mechanism for remote learners to achieve
a qualification, by recognising their prior achievements and experience.
