AREDv2.1 - Applications for Rapid E-learning Development

About AREDv2.1

AREDv2.1 is a new upgrade version of the ARED e-learning development tool that corrects some previous issues with the content output, all existing ARED users are advised to download and install the upgraded version see 'Changes in version 1' below for more information.

ARED is designed to allow practitioners, with little more than basic computer skills, to easily build their own e-learning resources using six dynamic templates. The templates are based on media-rich interactions that are commonly used in e-learning materials and remove the need for practitioners to learn the multimedia skills commonly required to build such resources.

AREDv2.1 enables practitioners to take their own content, integrate it into a template and publish a fully-functional and engaging e-learning resource they can deliver via CD-ROM, website or learning management system.

In addition to creating learning materials ARED enables e-learning content to be packaged so that its structure and navigation can be interpreted and applied across a range of learning management systems.

ARED can be used to create SCORM v1.2 compliant content packages that meet the standards required for contribution to LORN as well as meeting Flexible Learning Toolbox standards.

Who is AREDv2.1 for?

ARED 2.1 is intended to replace earlier versions of the ARED tool.

This resource will be of interest to:
