Professional Development Opportunities

Funding opportunities

In 2007 there are opportunities for the VTE workforce to facilitate a professional development online network for the purpose of implementing e-learning with client groups. Up to 15 networks will be funded at $12,500 each.

Guidelines, criteria and application documents will be available in mid-January 2007 on this site.

Knowledge Tree: an E-journal of Learning Innovation

The Knowledge Tree enables the sharing of research and innovation in global e-learning practice. Published by the national training system's e-learning strategy, the Australian Flexible Learning Framework (Framework), The Knowledge Tree aims to provoke, foster and capture in-depth knowledge and debate on e-learning issues.

Dates for 2007 Editions: 
. Tuesday 8 May
. Tuesday 7 August
. Tuesday 23 October

A 'live conversation' (virtual classroom session) with lead writers follows each edition of The Knowledge Tree.

Accessing 2006 Editions:
The four editions of 2006 had themes to do with 'going social', 'going aural', 'going communal' and 'connecting with learners'.
Each edition was followed by a 'live conversation' with the lead writers.

Book your own Elluminate Session

System Check
To participate in an Elluminate session your computer will need to be configured to run an Elluminate Live! software.  To download Elluminate and to configure your computer click the 'Configuration Room' and follow the instructions.  Accessing ElluminateLive! is an easy task which takes between 5 and 20 minutes depending on your Internet connection.
